Meet SUP Eddie!

MY MOTTO:

Life is busy and filled with stress……Make the time for fun! That’s sometimes why it’s so stressful.

MY STORY:

I started paddle boarding 10 years ago at a friend’s beach party. I loved the freedom and how calm it made me feel as I was gliding across the water. A couple years went by and life just kind of happened. Work got stressful and took up most of my time. It wasn’t until I was in a freak accident where I almost lost my hand that made me take a step back to appreciate my body. It’s funny how we don’t appreciate our body and health until we realize what life will be like without it. I started paddle boarding again to rehabilitate my hand. It was then that I fell in love with the sport. I then became a paddle board instructor. Life is short. If we spend it miserable, why are we doing what we do?

There’s so much more to paddle boarding than most people realize. It literally is the most versatile activity you can do. It can be super intense. People train hours and hours a day to get ready for international races. Others use it as an crazy, effective cardio workout. Some use it for yoga for balance and wellness, while others for surfing. Lastly for many people, paddle boarding is for leisure. You can casually paddle board just like you can casually ride a bike. You can Explore new places and enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds us. This water sport was design so you can do whatever you want with it and get whatever you want from it. If you’re someone like me who’s work life can be exhaustingly stressful at times then hop on a board, and let that stress go. My hope is that this website gives you the necessary tools to enjoy not just paddle boarding but life. Until next time, I’ll see you on the water!

MY PROMISE:

I believe transparency and integrity is everything. I promise to never give advice or share recommendations that I would not do or use personally. I don’t believe it’s ever worth the extra buck at the cost of someone else’s experience.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT EDDIE:

I have a love and passion for life, art, knowledge, and progression. I have always believed we have this one life, and we should make the most of it. Other than paddle boarding, I enjoy photography, writing (hence this blog), traveling, and creating. Outside of that, when I’m at home I enjoy games such as Chess, Sequence, Summoners War, Settlers of Catan, and various other strategy based entertainment.

"As a recreational paddler for over two years now, I found Eddies straight forward, no nonsense, approach to be a valuable resource and a clear reminder of the correct form and hand placement so I can avoid a reoccurring overuse injury. I ultimately hope to buy my own board one day and this blog gave me the direction I need to start the process."

"Three years ago I decided to pick up the sport of paddle boarding. The first person I met was Eddie. Eddie was quick to welcome me to the paddle board community. I was nervous being new and lacked confidence. Eddie showed me proper stance and paddle technique in a fun and easy to understand way. He's a natural teacher. After my initial paddle out, I was hooked instantly and my confidence soared thanks to Eddie's instructions. As I progressed in my experience, Eddie was able to add additional instructions to help me grow even further!"
